MPN Newcastle Regional Folk Ensemble

This group is open to pupils (and parents/carers) that have an interest in playing folk music and playing together with others. If there are other family members that would like to join us, then please let us know.

Please register for each person so we know what instrument they play and at what standard. E.g. if they are a beginner guitarist, grade 1 violinist, etc.

We will learn several styles of music including local ceilidh tunes and other genres. Sessions are open to anyone that knows a few notes on their instrument up to those that are of Grade 5 standard.

If you or other family members play the following instruments Violin, viola, cello, ukulele, guitar, penny whistle, recorder, keyboard, clarinet, flute, recorder, chalumeau, saxophone then this session could be for you or them
