Our Jazz Training Ensemble is designed towards young people playing to around Grade 2-3 standard who would like to develop their knowledge of jazz.

We place an emphasis on good ensemble playing and improvisation. Young people will gain an understanding of the elements of improvisation, develop good ensemble skills and aural ability. Through the improvisation element, young people will gain a deeper understanding of functional harmony.
